Lane Snapper

Latin Name:  Lutjanus synagris

General Size:  7" x 3.5"

The lane snapper is a schooling species found in the family Lutjanidae. These snappers can be found on the off shore reefs in very large numbers. Once established in a certain area adults tend to remain in that area for their entire lives.
