Reef Butterflyfish

Latin Name:  Chaetodon sedentarius

General Size:  4" x 2.5"

The reef butterflyfish is a member of the family Chaetodontidae. Typically they are observed in pairs on reef or other bottom structure. Reef buttlerflyfish have small mouth openings specialized for feeding on small invertebrates in hard-to-reach spaces in the reef.
