Sea Robin

Latin Name:  Prionotus spp.

General Size:  9" x 10"

The Sea Robin (family Triglidae) is a very unique looking fish with an unusually large head and wing-like pectoral fins. These fish are found exclusively on the bottom and feed on shrimps, crabs and other crustaceans. Additionally, the Sea Robins have detached lower rays of their pectoral fins that act as feelers or "legs".
