Snook

Latin Name:  Centropomus undecimalis

General Size:  30' X 10"

Only a few species are found in the Centropomidae family but two representatives, the barramundi and common snook, are highly sought-after inshore gamefish. Although snook can be found on offshore reefs they are mostly associated with estuarine and intercoastal fishing areas. They can be found in and around mangrove stands stalking prey such as mullet and shrimp.
